After creating your Custom Fields, it’s time to actually put them to use! You can use your custom fields like any built-in fields: edit them, use them as columns, sort on them, use pick list fields as folders, add the fields to printed list, exports etc.

Editing and Customizing Custom Fields data

Edit your custom field data in the Edit Music screen add them to your Pre-fill Settings screen and use Manage Pick Lists to manage your custom pick list fields:

Custom Fields in the Edit Music screen

All fields you create can be edited on a special Custom Fields tab of the Edit screen:

Add Custom Fields to Pre-fill screen

Want to add your next albums and already fill in your custom fields? Add them to your Pre-fill Settings and you’re good to go. You can find your Pre-fill settings via the menu top left in the main screen.

Manage the pick lists for custom pick list fields

When you’ve created Pick List type fields, you can manage them directly (like any built-in pick list field) in the Manage Pick Lists screen. In there you can add/edit/delete/merge any pick list item for your custom pick list fields. Find Manage Pick Lists via the menu top left in the main screen.

Viewing Custom Fields data

Of course after entering data in your custom fields, you want to view, folder, search and sort on them too! All possible:

View in Details Panel

Use pick list fields as folders, or add them as columns

Click the folder button top left and find your custom pick list fields there. Click one to group on that field! (you can also create multi-level foldering with them, just like you would with any built-in pick list field).

Or, click the columns button above the list to add any of your custom fields as a column.

Sort on custom fields

Click the AZ sort button above your list to select which field to sort on (your custom fields will be there too). Or create a custom sort order (like first by custom field 1, then by custom field 2).

Search custom fields

Any data you enter in custom text and text-area type fields can also be searched by the search top right in your main screen.
