Managing Custom Fields

Manage your existing custom fields in the Manage Custom Fields screen, open it from the menu, it is the first option under Customization.
Here you add new custom fields, rename them, change their order, or remove them.

Header

You can edit the “Custom Fields” heading at the top to your own liking, e.g. to “My Fields”.
The name you choose will be used in all places where the custom fields appear.

Modifying your custom fields:

Click the blue button with the pencil icon to modify an existing custom fields.
For most field types, you can only change the Field Name!

• For Currency fields, you can modify the currency.
• For Weight and Size fields, you can modify the unit.

Modifying Multi-Value Pick Lists

For the “Multi-Value Pick List” type, you can also modify:

• Control Type : how the field appear in the Edit screen (as name list, or a check box list)
• Display Type : how the field appears in the Details Panel in the main screen (one value per line or in one line with a separator)
  

Examples of the different types of Control Types:

Control Type: Check List

This control will show as a list of checkboxes you can tick one or multiple.

Control Type: Name List

Pick or enter multiple names of things.

Control Type: Person List

Pick or enter multiple actual person names (with first/last names).

Control Type: Tag List

This control in the edit screen looks exactly like the existing tags field, you can pick from existing items here, or type them in and hit enter to add them.

Remove fields

Click the red button with the trashcan icon to remove a field.
Note that this will also remove all data for that field for your albums!

Change Order

Once you have create some fields, you can drag and drop them to change their order. The order will used in the Custom Fields tab in the Edit screen and in the display area in the Details Panel.
