Adding movies by title

This lets you search our Core online movie database by movie title, then select and add from the search results. The smart “Search-as-you-type” system will probably find your movie before you finished typing it!

1. Click the + Add Movies button in the toolbar.
2. In the Add Movies screen, select the Title tab at the top.
3. Enter the title of the movie you want to add.
4. Now either:
   • Select a movie from the Search-As-You-Type suggestions.
     (click it or use your arrow and enter keys).
   • Or, click Search and select your movie from the search results.
5. Now click the big “Add to Collection” button on the bottom right.

That’s all you need to know to add movies. However, there’s more to this screen:

• Use the Movies / TV Series / Box Sets checkboxes to limit your search to those items.
• Expand a movie in the search results using the arrow on the right, to pick a specific edition.
• Change the Format using the selector in the Preview Panel (DVD, Blu-Ray, UHD, etc…)
• Try the Find Cover button there to select a different cover image.
• Use the arrow in the “Add to Collection” button to switch it to “Add to Wish List”.

*TIP: to get the most out of the “Search-as-you-type” system, start typing the most “discerning” word, e.g. to find Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, do not start typing harry, but type azkaban instead.
