When you use Update Values, or Add Books, you will get 2 prices from us: namely “Value” and “Retail Price” (that is if we have 1 or both of them available for your book(s) in Core). You also have a “My Value” field you can enter your own value in.

Which value fields are there?

There are 3 value related fields available for books, namely:

  • Value (no icon)
  • My Value
  • Retail Price

Edit Book screen

In the Edit Book screen on the Value tab, you will be able to see all 3 fields, and modify 2 of them.

  • Value: This is the Value you get from the Core online book database. It can not be modified by the user, it will update using “Update Values” when a higher/lower value is available in Core for that book.
  • My Value: If you have a “My Value” filled in, CLZ Books Web will use that as the value. It will always override the value you get from Core. It will show up with a “person” icon in front of it.
  • Retail Price: This is the Retail Price that comes from Core. CLZ Books Web will use that Retail Price “as the value” for the book if Core does not provide a regular Value.
